Houari Boumedienne International Airport:

Houari Boumedienne international airport is serving Algiers, the capital of Algeria. It is located 17 km east southeast of the city.The airport was created in 1924 and currently comprises two terminals. Its International Terminal (Terminal 1) which was inaugurated on July 5, 2006 presents a capacity of 6 million passengers per year. It has an International traffic of 2.5 million passengers per year, and holds 5000 car parking spaces, a taxi stand, a boarding area of 27,000 m², and 16 passenger gates.

The Domestic Terminal (Terminal 2), renovated in 2007, has a capacity of 2.5 million passengers per year. It offers conditions of comfort and security comparable to those of Terminal 1 and its domestic traffic is 1.5 million passengers per year. Terminal 2 is equipped with 20 registration desks with a cafeteria, tearoom and prayer room. The terminal also has a pharmacy, a hairdresser, watch retailers, duty free luggage shops, games and toys, perfumery, food and beverage zones, an extensive parking facilities for cars and a taxi stand, a boarding area of 5,000 m², with 7 gates, and lounges for premium passengers.

Tramway

Algiers tramway is a transit system that serves the greater
Algiers. It includes a line of 16.2 km and 28 stations and is
designed to carry between 150,000 and 185,000 people per
day. The system offers a carrying capacity of 6,800 passengers
per hour in each direction with a capacity of 400
persons per tram.
The first section of 7.2 kilometers is located east of the capital,
linking Bordj el Kiffan to the City Zerhouni Mokhtar. It is
now extended to the Squad multimodal station in downtown,
providing an interconnection with the metro.
