This area includes chemical techniques and processes involved in the fabrication and construction of MEMS devices.

The general chemical zone consists of the following equipment for the chemical activities:

• Chemical mattresses,
• 2 fume hoods,
• Telstar AV100 biological hood,
• A cabinet of chemicals,
• Potentiostat,
• Glassware, accessories and chemicals,
• Pyrolysis Spray Deposition Technique,
• Photolithography,
• Oven, ultrasonic bath and fridge for chemicals.
